While the couple claimed it was due to hanging, the domestic help's family alleged her employers strangulated her to death and hanged her body.
Her parents claimed there were injury marks on her head.
Kasna SHO Jitendra Kumar said, "According to the autopsy report, the cause of the death was strangulation. It could be due to hanging ... whether it is a murder is matter of probe."
The body of the 19-year-old domestic help was found hanging at the doctor couple's residence in the AWHO society on Sunday night.
The couple claimed they had gone out on Sunday evening and when they returned home, they found the body of the domestic help hanging from the ceiling fan in a room.
Other domestic helps in the housing society had alleged the teenager was sexually abused and killed when she objected.
