Speculation that the "Student of the Year" co-stars are together has been doing the rounds for quite some time and though they have maintained silence on it, the duo have not shied away from appearing together in public.
"Certain things, if you voice them or you want to say in a particular way dilutes their importance... Especially our personal life, which is precious and sacred to me. Whatever comment I make on it should not matter.
The 30-year-old "Brothers" star said he is a believer of keeping his personal life private. He, however, has no issues talking about his working experience with Alia in their upcoming film "Kapoor and Sons".
"It was exciting that Alia and I got a chance to work again after 'Student'. We have come a long way from the first film. There is a difference in our performances as well."
"'Kapoor and Sons' is a very endearing comedy+drama. It is a dramedy. It will be a unique, special story to tell. I am quite excited for its release on March 18, 2016.
"I got to work with Rishi Kapoor again after 'Student'. He is playing our grandfather. The warmth and bonding that the whole crew had reflected on-screen. This is the first ensemble for me and the best outdoor shoot I ever had."
The movie, directed by "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu" helmer Shakun Batra, also stars Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.
"I had a great working relationship with Fawad. We got along really well after a couple of days. We have same interest in food, in movies.
"We exchanged notes on our cultures, we used to talk about Lahore and Delhi. When we played cricket on sets, we called it India vs Pakistan match. It was exciting.
