DPCC protests 'wrong implementation' of the GST, Maken says
Press Trust of India New Delhi Members of Delhi Congress today held a demonstration outside the historic Town Hall in Chandni Chowk area to protest the "wrong implementation" of the GST.
DPCC chief Ajay Maken said the Modi government was in a state of "deep slumber" as prices of all essential commodities have "soared sky-high".
An effigy of price rise and GST was also burnt by the protesters.
The Delhi State Traders' Congress, under the aegis of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, is organising week-long demonstrations at 42 major markets across Delhi to protest against "price rise as a fallout of the wrong implementation of GST," the DPCC said in a statement.
Tomorrow, a demonstration will be held at the Rani Bagh market in Adarsh Nagar.
