Ganpati, who held a meeting with senior officials of the department to review crime scene in the state, asked them to crack down on criminals especially those who are wanted and carry rewards on their heads.
Keeping the state government's priorities in mind effective steps must be taken to control crime, he said, adding that pending cases at all police stations should be speedily disposed of and a tab be kept on drug peddlers, a police department press release said.
