Drug peddlers held; 70 kg poppy straw recovered: police

Four alleged drug peddlers were arrested today in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir and over 70 kilograms of poppy straw was recovered from them, police claimed.

Acting on specific information, police apprehended four drug peddlers and recovered 70.6 kilograms of poppy straw from their possession at Lasipora area of the south Kashmir district, a police official said.

He said a case under NDPS Act was registered and investigation taken up.
