The BSF patrolling party noticed some suspicious movement last night at the Indo-Pak border village Rajatal near the International Border, a BSF official said.
When troops reached the spot, they found that some people from Pakistani side were pushing something to the Indian territory through a water pipe and on seeing the force, the smugglers managed to flee back, he said.
On Indian side, too, smugglers were seen but they also managed to escape under the cover of darkness, he said.
When BSF troops this morning launched a massive search operation, they found 26 kilogram of heroin, he said.
