The incident happened yesterday when a catering supervisor noticed two packets, wrapped in black coloured tape,hidden beneath a catering trolley of a plane that had arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) from Chennai, officials in the airport security said.
They said that sleuths of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) were called in on the suspicion that the packets may contain narcotic drugs.
The NCB sleuths, they said, found that 1,895 gm mixture of morphine from the packets and it has been deposited at the Customs warehouse, according to the procedure.
