Drugs worth Rs 5 crore, Pak SIM cards seized

The Border Security Force today seized drugs worth Rs 5 crore besides three Pakistani mobile SIM cards from J R Hithar Border Out Post in Ferozepur sector of Punjab.
BSF DIG (Punjab frontier) R S Kataria said that BSF personnel deployed in the area observed suspicious movement near the International Border and a special search operation was carried out.
During the search, the BSF team recovered a yellow plastic packet which was buried in a wheat field near the International Border, he said.
A kilogram of contraband and three Pak SIM cards (Zong company) were found inside the packet, he added.
