Drunk man climbs electricity transformer, electrocuted

A man, who climbed a power transformer in an alleged inebriated condition, was electrocuted at Sukha Singh Mehtab Singh Chowk today, police said.
The unidentified victim, under the influence of liquor climbed the transformer this afternoon and got serious burn injuries as a result of electric shock, with high voltage running through the transformer, they said.
The man was rushed to the civil hospital immediately, but he succumbed to his injuries during the treatment, police added.
