Dubai-based group plans expansion in India, Gulf

A Dubai-based consumer electronics major has announced its expansions plans in emerging markets in India and the Gulf to tap into the potential of a phenomenal growth in the region.
Moonway Group recently launched its new regional corporate office in Kochi, Kerala and is currently preparing to float more retail outlets across the Gulf and the Indian subcontinent over the year, the group said in a statement.
"We are pleased to announce the opening of our new regional corporate office in India, as this enables us to provide better solutions and better services to the specific consumer group," Moonway Group CEO Abdul Gafoor said.
"We are also planning to open more retail stores in the Gulf region as well as the Indian subcontinent, aimed to leverage the positive transformation of consumer electronics and retails segments in these markets," he said.
The Group has improved the range of products under its portfolio specifically catering to the requirements of the consumers in the Indian market.
The products are scientifically upgraded focusing on the Indian market demand for energy-efficient products.
Moonway now operates more than 20 customer care centres across Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The Group spread over 26 countries is also planning to open more customer care centres in several strategic locations in the UAE.
It recently signed up with popular South Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal as its brand ambassador.
This was in line with its strategy to reposition the brands onto the next level and create a greater impact in the emerging middle-level markets in the Gulf and India, it said.
Moonway Group also operates more than 10 retail outlets across the GCC, India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
