Dussehra celebrated in Punjab, Haryana

Effigies of Ravana, his brother Kumbhkaran and son Meghnadh were burnt and fire crackers set off at different places as scores of people watched.

A tight security arrangement was made around places where the effigies were burnt.

A number of effigies were soaked by rains as a thunderstorm had hit the city and many areas of Punjab and Haryana late on Tuesday.
