DUTA protests outside UGC office against 'forced autonomy' to clgs

The Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) today protested outside the office of the University Grants Commission (UGC) here over reports of forced autonomy to DU colleges.

DUTA president Rajib Ray said the Delhi University (DU)has its own statutory autonomy inscribed in its founding Delhi University Act, and any move that "violates its founding act, statutes and ordinances is legally tenable".
