DySP Vitthal Jadhav was caught late last night by Thane ACB sleuths after they laid a trap at a hotel in Sindhudurg.
Jadhav had demanded the sum from one Malwankar to settle a case filed against his brother and sister in Kalyan court here by a woman called Sheela Satawkar.
According to sources, the officer, who had only few months of service left promised Malwankar of an out-of court settlement with Satawkar if he paid the bribe amount.
