"Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy author E L James has tapped her husband to write the film's sequel.
James' husband of 28 years, Niall Leonard, is also an author and screenwriter, and worked on the script for the first "Fifty Shades "film, although he was uncredited, reported People magazine.
Leonard is also the author of the Crusher book series, and has worked on British TV shows such as "Air Force One Is Down" and "Wire in the Blood". He and James have two sons together.
"Niall is an outstanding writer in his own right, with multiple established credits, and we are lucky to have him join Team Fifty," producer Michael De Luca said in a statement.
Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are currently negotiating for more money for the sequel.
