E Saibaba Reddy appointed VC of VSSUT

Noted academician E Saibaba Reddy was today appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla in Odisha.
The appointment of Prof Reddy was made by Chancellor and Odisha Governor S C Jamir after interacting with three aspirants, a release from Raj Bhavan said here.
An alumnus of the University of Roorkee, Prof Reddy is at present the professor of Civil Engineering in JNUTH College of Engineering, Hyderabad, it said.
Reddy did his PhD in University of Nottingham and post-doctoral from the University of Hoifax, Canada and University of Birmingham, it said adding he has successfully guided four PhD scholars and four others are pursuing PhD.

He has been a regular visitor to a number of foreign universities, particularly in USA, Canada and UK and his scholarly activities are well known in academic circles with four books already published besides research papers in 50 international and 52 national journals of repute, the release added.
