The bye-election was necessitated as the seat fell vacant after the appointment of senior BJP leader, Kaptan Singh Solanki as the Governor of Haryana.
The Madhya Pradesh Assembly's Principal Secretary, Bhagwan Dev Israni has been appointed as the Returning Officer for the by-poll, an official release said.
As per the schedule, the notification for the by-poll will be issued on September 4 and the last date for the filing of nomination papers is September 11, it said.
The scrutiny will be done on September 12 and the last date of withdrawal is September 15.
