Edible and non-edible oils drops on subdued demand

Groundnut oil prices dropped further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on subdued demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample supplies from producing regions.
Refined palmolein also declined due to absence of retail demand.
In the non-edible, Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial eased further on lower demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
Linseed oil maintained stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible section, groundnut oil slumped by Rs 30 per 10kg to Rs 830 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 860 and refined palmolein moved down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 500 as against Rs 505 previously.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold fell by Rs 15 per 100kg to Rs 4,150 from Rs 4,165 and castoroil commercial went down by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 860 as compared to Rs 863 previously. Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 760 per 10kg.
