Edible, non-edible oils decline on subdued demand

Groundnut oil prices slipped in an otherwise sluggish Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on subdued demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein inched down following lack of retail buying support.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial moved down further owing to reduced demand from shippers and soap manufacturing units.
Meanwhile, linseed oil maintained a steady trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil dropped by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 950 from Monday's closing level of Rs 960 and refined pamolein softened by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 495.

Castorseeds bold fell by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 3,650 from overnight close of Rs 3,700 and castor oil commercial eased by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 760 as against Rs 770 yesterday.
Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 765 per 10 kg.
