Edible, non-edible oils drop on lacklustre demand

Groundnut oil prices dropped further in an otherwise lacklustre oils and oilseeds Vashi wholesale market here today on weak demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample arrivals from producing regions.
Refined palmolein declined on subdued offtake from retailers on the back of lower Malaysian cues.
Linseed oil ruled steady in the absences of any worthwhile buying support.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial slumped owing to lack of demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
The castorseeds futures rates were unavailable.
In the edible section, groundnutoil fell by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 810 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 820 and refined palmolein also moved down by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 570 as against Rs 572 previously.

Moving to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold plunge by Rs 115 per 100kg to Rs 3,975 from Rs 4,090 and castoroil commercial also dipped by Rs 23 per 10kg to Rs 825 as compared to Rs 848 yesterday. Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 825 per 10kg.
