Edible, non-edible oils slip on sluggish trade

Groundnut oil declined at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to lower demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein also edged down owing to lower retail buying.
Among the non-edibles, castor seeds bold and castoroil commercial eased following lower offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil held steady in the absence of any major buying from paint and allied industries.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil went down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 970 from Monday's closing level of Rs 975 and Refined palmolein moved down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 470 from Rs 472.

Moving to the non-edible section, Castor seeds bold fell by Rs 50 per 100kg to Rs 3,550 from overnight level of Rs 3,600 and castor oil commercial slid by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 740 as against Rs 750 previously.
Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 870 per 10 kg.
