Edible oil weakens on lower demand

Groundnut oil prices weakened at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market on lower demand from stockists and retailers amid ample arrivals from producing regions.
Refined palmolein also declined owing to subdued demand from retailers.
While, linseeds oil ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial recovered on fresh demand from shippers and soap industries.
In the edible segment, groundnutoil fell Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 970 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 980 and refined palmolein moved down by Rs 6 per 10 kg to Rs 487 from Rs 493.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold climbed Rs 35 per 100 kg to Rs 4,100 from Rs 4,065 and castoroil commercial moved-up by Rs 7 per 10 kg to Rs 850 as compared to Rs 843 yesterday.
Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 795 per 10 kg.
