Edible oils drop on subdued demand; non-edible rebounds

Groundnut oil prices dropped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on subdued demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein also dipped on reduced retail demand.
Meanwhile, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial rebounded on renewed demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
Linseed oil ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil slipped by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 775 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 785 and refined palmolein fell by Rs 9 per 10 kg to Rs 541 as compared to Rs 550 yesterday.
Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold climbed by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,200 from Rs 4,175 and castor oil commercial moved up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 870 as against Rs 865 previously. Linseed oil maintained a stable trend at Rs 760 per 10 kg.
