Edible oils fall on selling by stockists

Edible oil prices drifted by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on selling by stockists against subdued demand at prevailing higher levels.
However, non-edible oils held steady in scattered deals from consuming industries.
Traders said the fall in select edible oil prices was due to stockists selling against subdued demand at prevailing levels.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and mustard expeller (Dadri) oils fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,400 and Rs 7,300 per quintal, respectively.
Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils also lost Rs 100 each at Rs 7,500 and Rs 7,300 per quintal, respectively.

Palmolein (rbd) and Palmolein (Kandla) oils also traded lower by similar margin at Rs 6,900 and Rs 6,550 per quintal, respectively.

Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,120-1,340.
