Azza Soliman said by phone that police presented her with an arrest warrant at her home today.
The move comes as human rights advocates complain of being increasingly targeted by authorities with legal procedures, asset freezes and travel bans, as part of a larger crackdown on dissent. Since the 2013 military ouster of an elected Islamist president, authorities have jailed thousands of people, mainly Islamists but also leading secular and liberal activists.
