Eight arrested for locking Govt offices

Eight persons were arrested today for illegally locking Central Government offices here, protesting against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's scheduled visit to Colombo to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, police said.
They had locked up five government offices in Triplicane Nungambakkam, Royapuram and Anna Salai areas last night.
Eight persons from two outfits have been arrested in connection with the incidents, police said.
One of them was arrested earlier also in connection attack of Sri Lankan tourists, police said.
