Eight illegal Bangladeshi entrants arrested
Press Trust of India Raiganj (WB) Eight Bangladeshis who had illegally entered the country and were on their way to Delhi to look for work, were arrested from Kaliaganj Railway station in North Dinajpur district today.
Police said the eight hail from Rangpur, Thakurgaon and Dinajpur districts of Bangladesh and had no valid travel documents with them.
Two Bangladeshi mobiles with sim cards of that country and Indian currency of Rs 920 was seized from them, the police said their Indian contact is absconding.
They were later produced before the chief judicial magistrate's court and remanded to police custody for 14 days.
