Eight killed, six injured as tanker hits car

Eight people were killed and six others injured today when their car was hit by a tanker in Purenderpur area here, the police said.
The incident took place on the Devpur-Nepal road. Seven people died on the spot and one during treatment, they said.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where their condition was stated as stable, the police said, adding that the bodies are yet to be identified.
Those killed in the accident were going to Gorakhpur from Sonauli. The police are probing the matter.
