"We had referred 25 samples of suspected swine flu cases to a laboratory in New Delhi. Of them, we have received results, which mention that eight are positive," state epidemiologist Dr Utkarsha Betodkar told reporters.
The state which has set up facilities in both the districts (north and south) for swine flu patients, had sent total 94 samples of suspected patients. Of these 26 have turned out to be H1N1 positive cases.
The state has recorded one death due to the disease this year.
