Elaborate security arrangements made for Republic Day: Police

In the wake of protest in Rajasthan over the release of "Padmaavat", elaborate security arrangements have been made for Republic Day celebrations in the state, an official said.
The Rajasthan government has also planned a state-level event in Bharatpur to mark the day.
"Range IGs, district SPs and other senior officials have been asked to remain alert. Additional police forces will be available as per requirement," ADG (Law and Order) N R K Reddy said here.
Besides, security has also been tightened for the five- day Jaipur Literature Festival which started today in the state capital.
"Two additional companies of the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) have been deployed for the security of the festival," he said.

Divisional commissioners and district collectors will unfurl the tricolour at the divisional and district headquarters.
The state has seven divisions of Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur, Kota and Bharatpur and 33 districts.
