Elderly woman found murdered in Ghaziabad

An elderly woman was today found murdered with her throat slit at her residence in Indirapuram area here, police said.
Raj Kawatra (74), the woman, was alone at her house when the incident took place as her husband Surender had gone to a nearby bank on account of some work.
Later, he didn't came back to his house but instead visited his daughter and son-in-law's flat in the neighbourhood, they said.
After being informed by their cook that his knock at the apartment's door went unheard, Surender broke into the flat and found her wife bleeding profusely.
However, she was rushed to hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

Police said that some jewellery and Rs 3,000 in cash are also missing from the flat.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard while efforts are on to trace the maid, who is reported to be missing after the incident.
