The incident occurred this morning when Shanti Devi (80) was returning home from a hospital and the two men dressed as police officials approached her.
They persuaded her to hand them all her jewellery telling her that it was all part of a senior citizen safety and security drive by Delhi Police, an official said.
The duo even escorted the woman to her residence and returned the packet in which they had apparently put all her jewellery.
A case has been registered and CCTV footage is being monitored to identify the accused at the earliest, the official added.
