Sangeeta Sinha, who stayed with her husband Ashok in the apartment in Sector 7 of the district, was alone at home this morning when the incident took place, they said.
Ashok had left for work at around 9 AM as usual. When their domestic help arrived at around 11 AM, she found the door open and Sangeeta's body on the floor with several knife injuries, police said.
Based on prima facie evidence, the killing is being suspected to be a case of murder for robbery as things around the house were scattered.
