Chief Electoral Officer of Puducherry V Candavelou told reporters here today that the election department has made all the necessaryarrangements in connection with the election.
A total of 5,382 staff have been drafted for election duty while 1027 student volunteers would be deployed for the Real Time Poll Monitoring System (webcasting).
Candavelou said that 79 micro observers have also been drafted in the context of the election.
He said that the Union Territory has around 9.43 lakh voters and 930 polling stations, out of which 148 have been identified as vulnerable.
