A 27-year-old electrician allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his quarters inside the premises of IIT-Delhi, police said today.
However, no suicide note was recovered, but from preliminary investigation it emerged that he was involved in an extramarital relationship, they said.
The incident took place yesterday, which was also his five-year-old physically-challenged son's birthday. It was his pregnant wife who saw his body hanging from the ceiling in a room and raised an alarm.
An inquest has been initiated into the matter, the official said.
