The government on Tuesday said it had raised its concerns with the US authorities over the reported snooping on Indian electronic communications by some American agencies.

"The government has raised its concerns with the US side, including at senior levels, on the reported authorisation given to entities of the US government to communications emanating from India. The US has noted that it fully respects and understands the feeling expressed by India in this regard," Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.

He was asked about the details of reported snooping by American agencies.
