Elephant herd kills 2

Telabala Rabha (28) and her three-year-old daughter Sweta were killed after the herd attacked Bamunghopa Ujanpara village in the district, forest department officials said.

The herd, which came out of nearby forests, also damaged some houses and other property in the village.

Forest guards later arrived in the area and chased away the elephants.
