"In 2018, we are expecting overall sales growth in the range of 15-18 per cent. Business from sales of mini-PCs will contribute to the growth," said Rajshekhar Bhatt Elitegroup India Country Manager(Sales Division) on the sidelines of launching pocket size PC.
The company unveiled four variants of a pocket size mini-PC, Liva Q, that can be connected to mouse and keyboard through bluetooth and monitor can be connected through HDMI port on the device.
The device with pre-loaded Microsoft Windows 10 operating system and 32 GB internal storage has been priced at Rs 15,500 a unit and without Windows at Rs 13,500 a unit.
He said that the mini-PC are targetted to meet requirements of metro cities where real estate price is high.
"The mini-PC saves significant real estate cost which offices in metro cities need to pay to accommodate their employees. Besides, total unit can work on 15 watt power which also significantly reduces electricity expenses," Bhatt said.
"The mini-PC will bridge the gap in business which we are experiencing from decline of motherboard business. This year we expect to sell 60,000 units of mini-PCs. In volume terms it will account for about 10 per cent of total devices that we expect to sell in India and about 20 per cent of overall India revenue," Bhatt said.
