The 38-year-old "Hunger Games" actress will star as a Los Angeles TV anchor who goes on a walk of shame after an uncharacteristic heavy night out when she loses out on an audition for her dream job, reported Showbizspy.
The film is due to start shooting in January in Los Angeles and be directed by Steve Brill from his own script, with Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Sidney Kimmel set to produce.
Banks recently turned to production this year with comedy musical movie "Perfect Pitch", and 2013 looks set to be a big year for the actress when she stars in and directs comedy "Movie 43", which features a large ensemble cast including Halle Berry and Kate Bosworth.
The blonde actress will then reprise her role as Effie Trinket in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire".
