Emirates SkyCargo appoints Alkhallafi as cargo manager, north

Gulf carrier Emirates freight division Emirates SkyCargo today announced the appointment of Abdulla Alkhallafi as cargo manager for North India.
Alkhallafi's appointment to the post is effective from June, the company said in a statement.
As the cargo manager for the North market, Alkhallafi will be based in New Delhi and look after the states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand besides Delhi, it said.
In the North Indian market, Emirates SkyCargo uplifted close to 32,000 tonnes of cargo during the previous fiscal, a growth of over eight per cent compared to period ended March 31, 2016, the release said.
Emirates SkyCargo said it offers a capacity of over 15,500 tonnes a month through nine Indian airports -- Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kochi, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram -- and helps export 5,000 to 6,000 tonnes of perishables out of India every month to major international markets.
