Engineer Rashid faces protests in Bhaderwah and Doda

Independent MLA Engineer Rashid Ahmed today faced protests from BJP members in Bhaderwah and Doda areas who alleged that he had come to the area to vitiate the peace in the region.
"Eng Rashid arrived in Bhaderwah to hold a public meeting. But it was not allowed and he returned to Doda," a senior Police officer said.
People including some BJP members held protests at Domail-Sarna area against him when he was going towards Doda, the officer said adding that a stone thrown by someone hit his window-pane.
Amid protests by the people, who alleged he has arrived in Doda to vitiate the peace in the region, police escorted him out and he arrived in Doda, the officer said.

Rashid also faced protests in Doda by some people including BJP workers, he said adding that there was no attack on him and he was not injured.
However, Engineers Rashid alleged that he was attacked by BJP and RSS workers in Domail, who broke window panes of their vehicle and injured them.
