Engineering student gangraped in Pakistan, three held

An engineering student was allegedly gang-raped by a classmate and his three accomplices here who were blackmailing her after making a video of the act, police said today.
The victim, a student of the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, registered a case against a class fellow and his three friends for allegedly raping her, making video of the act and threatening her to upload it on social media.
Three of the accused have been arrested and raids are being made to nab the fourth one, senior police officer Asad Muzaffar said.
The victim told police that a few months ago her class fellow took her to a house, saying his mother wanted to see her. He told me that you are my choice of marriage, she said.

"He took me to a house in a deserted area and raped me," she said. She alleged that he also made a video of the act on his cellphone.
"He then started blackmailing me. His three friends later raped me after threatening me that the rape video will be uploaded on Internet if I did not comply," she said.
The police have registered a case against the accused under sections 292 (obscene act) and 376 (punishment of rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
