England extended their lead to 163 after bowling out India for 488 and then ending the fourth day of the opening cricket Test at 114 for no loss, here.
India had begun the day at 319 for four.
Haseeb Hameed (62) and Alastair Cook (46) will resume England's second innings tomorrow.
