Addressing reporters here, Andhra Pradesh agriculture minister P Pulla Rao said they have enough evidence to "nail" Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao on the phone tapping issue which may "uproot" the TRS government.
"(AP CM) Chandrababu Naidu need not worry even if the Telangana ACB issues any notices in the cash-for-vote case. There are 87 cases filed against KCR (K Chandrasekhar Rao). They will be investigated by the SIT. There is another inquiry going on (against Telangana CM) by CID in a threatening case," Pulla Rao said referring to the case filed last week against the Telangana CM by Jerusalem Muthaiah, one of the accused in the cash-for-vote case.
He said the Telangana ACB lacked jurisdiction to issue notices to Naidu. "The cash-for-vote case is election-related issue and the Election Commission should act on that but not ACB."
Meanwhile, another minister in Naidu's cabinet, Achen Naidu has accused Telangana Government of snatching Governor's powers regarding section 8 of AP reorganisation Act 2014.
Achen Naidu said if situation warranted they would not hesitate in setting up AP government police stations in the common capital of Hyderabad.
The case was registered in the wake of local media airing an audio recording of a purported conversation Naidu had with a nominated legislator seeking his vote in the Legislative Council elections.
AP government has already dubbed the tapes as "fabricated" and said the government was taking the matter seriously.
Meanwhile, YSR Congress, led by YS Jaganmohan Reddy, today sought resignation of Naidu in the wake of developments in the cash-for-vote case.
