Ensure adequate stock of medicines: Minister

Puducherry Welfare and Tourism Minister P Rajavelu today instructed officials to ensure that the machinery initiated speedy steps to prevent occurence of dengue fever or conjunctivitis in the rural areas of the union territory.
The minister had held discussions with the medical personnel, officials of various departments and voluntary organisations to initiate proper action plan to rise to any exigency, a press relese said here.
He instructed the health department to stock adequate drugs and medicines for distribution to the people reporting with the cases of fever and other ailments.
