Dhesi was speaking at a workshop on 'Digital and Cyber Space' for senior officers of the government, organised by the Information and Technology Department in collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers, here today, an official release said.
Describing cyber security as an emerging field, the Chief Secretary said cyber crime was increasing by the day with the development and launch of a large number of new applications.
Dhesi said Haryana was a "leader" in terms of provision of e-services to the citizens, which include centralised 'e-Procurement portal' launched to act as a single-window clearance and monitoring system for all goods, stores, works and services, and e-Tendering for allotment of liquor retail outlets in the state.
He said, "Workshops like this would help understand the key issues related to cyber security, and their solutions".
