Entries invited for competition for young innovators

School or college students who have made technological innovations to solve any social or industrial problem now have a chance to win an award for their achievements.
Entries are invited for Gandhian Young Technological Innovations awards from current or former students for providing innovative technological solutions in the field of engineering, science, biotechnology or medical sciences.
The awards will be presented by President Pranab Mukherjee in March 2017 on the occasion of 'Festival of Innovations (FOIN)' at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Students can apply at gyti.Techpedia.In and the last date of application is November 30. Applicants should be under 35 years of age.
"There are many categories in this competition and an applicant can submit his/her project for more than one category." Dinesh Awasthi, Advisor, Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions (SRISTI) said.
There are also BIRAC-SRISTI GYTI award and BIRAC-SRISTI GYTI Appreciation award along with Hari Om Ashram prerit Dr Amulya K N Reddy GYTI award in which students can participate.
