Unseeded Ishaque Eqbal and Theertha Macherla defied odds to enter the semi finals of the USD 3000 RBL BankATT Asian Ranking men's tennis championship here on Friday.
In the quarter finals, Eqbal upset seventh seeded Paramveer Bajwa 6-3, 6-2, while youngster Theertha Marcherla saved a match point to topple fourth seeded Chandril Sood 1-6, 7-6(6), 6-2.
Eqbal will take on Macherla for a place in the final.
In the second semi final, sixth seeded Prithvi Sekhar will meet lucky loser Raghav Jaisinghani.
