The move will boost connectivity with the subcontinent including India.
The revised flight schedule, to be effective from March 29 will also provide new connections from Dhaka, Kathmandu, and Kolkata to Chicago, New York, and Toronto via Abu Dhabi, a release her said.
The schedule changes for Chicago and Toronto have been made in conjunction with the American Airlines and Air Canada in North America, and Jet Airways in India, who all are air Etihad partners in these regions, it said.
Etihad holds 24 per cent stake in Naresh Goyal's private airline Jet Airways.
The partner airlines will implement new codeshare flights as well as re-accommodate guests who are affected by the new schedule, Etihad said.
The new schedule will create a more even balance of Etihad Airways' flights to North America and will result in fewer passengers transiting through the hub at peak periods, he said.
Besides, the new times also all connect with airline's other destinations in the region such as Colombo, Delhi, Karachi, Lahore, and Mumbai, the release said.
