This was the highest certification being granted to maritime training institutes in the country as per stringent norms laid out by the Director General, Shipping, academy officials said.
According to promoter-Directors Babu Joseph and Jenson Paul, the grading under Comprehensive Inspection Programme (CIP) was done as per the requirement of DG Shipping.
With this grade, Euro Tech Maritime Academy has been granted a Green Channel facility to commence various courses without following the present system of undergoing DG Shipping inspection for each and every course, they said.
The Academy is also affiliated to Indian Maritime University for the conduct of B. Tech course in Marine Engineering and BSc in Nautical Science course.
