Zensar Technologies today said its strategy to focus on ERP, infrastructure management and government initiatives in Europe is gaining traction and the mid-sized software services firm expects the region to account for more than 15 per cent of its global revenues by 2017.
The Pune-headquartered company said it is getting a good response from the Mittelstand middle market firms in Germany and has increased focus on small and medium-sized enterprises in German-speaking countries (DACH region).
Zensar Technologies in a statement today said it has secured new deals in Germany and Europe in July.
The company has also opened a office in Switzerland with other global office in Kenya this year, it added.
"With the wins we have seen last year in Europe and the robust pipeline in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland and UK, we see the region contributing over 15 percent of our global revenues by 2017," Zensar Technologies Senior VP and Head Europe Gurdeep Grewal said.
According to the firm's results in the April-June quarter of 2014-15, the US contributed 75 per cent of the revenues followed by Europe (11 per cent), Africa (8 per cent) and Rest of the World (6 per cent).
In the first quarter, Zensar Europe has shown a year on year growth of 47.4 per cent in USD terms, Zensar said.
Grewal added that Zensar was delighted to announce its first significant win in the private sector in Germany, which follows on the heels of a multi-million dollar project the firm signed for a government agency in the first quarter of this year.
Zensar Technologies Vice Chairman and CEO Ganesh Natarajan said: "We embarked on our Continental Europe journey three years ago with a strategy built largely on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Infrastructure Management (IM) and Government initiatives and we are delighted that all the three areas are seeing success today."
Zensar has dedicated sales teams in the region focused on the Benelux and DACH countries, with special focus on small and medium-sized enterprises in German-speaking countries, he added.
It has offices in Slough in the UK, Veenendal and Amsterdam in Netherlands, Munich in Germany, Vienna in Austria and Geneva in Switzerland.
